Principal Procurement Officer - Grade D1 (Paterson Grading System)
Reporting lines
Reports to Chief Finance Officer
Job Purpose
To manage day-to-day procurement activities within the LHDA, ensuring that the centralized procurement function is conducted efficiently and effectively, as well as to provide guidance and support to procurement staff at the branch level, and any other related responsibilities that may be reasonably assigned from time to time.
Required qualification and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics/ Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 6/ Business Administration, Finance/ Accounting with at least ten (10) years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, five (5) of which should be at managerial/supervisory role in a similar organisation.
Or
Master’s degree in supply chain or Logistics with at least five (5) years relevant experience in a similar organisation.
Essential requirements of the position
- Professional Certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain and any related is required.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations, contract administration, and cost savings.
